Allergic Diseases 

In the last two decades, the prevalence of allergic diseases has increased dramatically. As a leading cause of food recall globally, unexpected or undeclared allergens and the misrepresentation of food continue to make news headlines.


Lack of understanding of allergens hazards in the process of purchasing, storage, preparation ordering, and delivering of food products can lead to unwanted allergenic reactions for immunocompromised consumers.


These were the main reasons for food legislation and significant food safety standard requirements change. GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) and retailer food safety standards have high-level expectations and prescriptive requirements for allergens.
